Welcome to the
Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Community Life
Awards 2008
Cambridgeshire ACRE is delighted to be
organising an awards programme that celebrates the
very best of community life. Thanks to the
generosity of our sponsors there are an exciting
variety of categories within the Community Life
Awards, each offering recognition for achievements
and a substantial reward for the winners.
The awards are the perfect opportunity for communities to focus on their achievements. By working together for a common cause, communities can build a platform for future development, safeguarding the long-term viability of local life.
Please click on the links on the left-hand side of this page to view detailed information about the different sections of the awards:
- Volunteer Awards – in a change
to last year we welcome nominations for groups
and organisations as well as individuals who deserves to be recognised for their outstanding contribution to volunteer work.
- Village of the Year – the chance for your village to be recognised as being a truly well-balanced, proactive and caring community, having made the best of local opportunities to maintain and enhance the quality of life for everyone living there.
- Aspects of Community Life – an opportunity for your community group or community facility to gain recognition for the huge, positive impact their locally-run project has had on a particular aspect of community life.
I’d like to thank our sponsors for making the Awards possible. Their recognition of the importance of community involvement in making Cambridgeshire and Peterborough a great place to live
is greatly appreciated.
Good luck with your entry – I hope you find taking part a worthwhile experience.
